Almost 10,000 people voted in our online poll yesterday on legalising medicinal cannabis in NZ and 97 percent voted in favour of making medicinal marijuana legal.
Our story showed cancer sufferers Anna Osborne and Helen Kelly were prepared to break the law, on camera, by using cannabis oil.
They said it helped them in ways chemotherapy couldn’t. It relieved pain and restored their appetite so they did not lose weight.
But they were angry they had to break the law and risk jail to ease the pain that comes with cancer.
Story decided to take this result to the politicians to see what they had to say.
